In less than ten minutes you can reach Kalogria, Stoupa, and Foneas beaches, while within fifteen minutes you’ll find the trailhead to the Taygetos west summit (2,407 m, UNESCO World Heritage) and the stunning Vyros Gorge. It’s an ideal base to explore the Mani Peninsula, with the Kalamata–Areopoli provincial road just five minutes away. Whether you want to immerse yourself in nature, discover Mani’s rich history, or simply relax with a glass of wine and a view, everything is close at hand.

Getting here!

Neochori Lefktrou, Stoupa, Ditiki Mani, Peloponnese

the MAGIC of Mani’S LANDSCAPE

The Mani Peninsula is one of the few places in the world where mountains rise straight from the sea while enjoying a subtropical climate. The Taygetos range reaches over 2,400 meters, yet its foothills touch the beaches of Stoupa and Kardamyli. Within just a few kilometers, the landscape transforms from sandy shores to olive groves, citrus trees, pine forests, and rocky alpine peaks. This dramatic meeting of sea and mountain creates a rare double climate — warm and dry by the coast, cool and fragrant higher up — so you can watch snow-capped peaks while sitting in the sun by the sea.

We’re Maurice Zeegers and Eva Antoniou, a Dutch-Greek couple with two children, living between Belgium and Mani. We love the quiet rhythm of life here: sea swims, mountain walks, and barefoot beach days. Our holiday home in Neochori s our retreat, a place of light and sea views. Maurice is a professor of epidemiology and Eva is a research consultant with deep roots in the Peloponnese.
